If you have already booked your tickets to the 29th Genie Awards and plan to travel to Ottawa for the big event, we have important information for you!
The 29th Genie Awards has partnered with VIA Rail and several hotels in Ottawa for Genie Weekend. After Friday, March 13, 2009, Genie Awards attendees may take advantage of special rates on travel and accommodation, as follows :
TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION
WD World Travel is the official Travel Agent for the 29th Annual Genie Awards. To take advantage of specially priced fares for both travel to and accommodation in Ottawa, call 1-800.563.5722 or e-mail wdtravel@wdtravel.com and mention the Genie Awards.
TRAVEL
For travel from Toronto or Montréal to Ottawa, on Friday, April 3rd there will be Genie VIA One Trains available. These trains will be traveling as follows :
From Toronto : departs 12 :10pm to arrive in Ottawa at 4 :30pm
From Montreal : departs 3 :40pm to arrive in Ottawa 5 :12pm
You may contact WD World Travel to book one of these special Trains. Bookings will be accepted on a first come, first served basis only (limited spaces are available).
Please note : The trains to Ottawa cannot be changed once booked. There is one schedule only. Return trains can be booked as per VIA Rail's regularly scheduled trains.
ACCOMMODATION
The Academy has secured special rates with several hotels in the downtown Ottawa area. For a list of available hotels, contact WD World Travel at 1-800.563.5722 or e-mail wdtravel@wdtravel.com and mention the Genie Awards. As limited spaces are avilable at each hotel at the special Genie rate, be sure to book early to secure your reservation.
